Dear Friends, Members:
The International Association of Hygienic Physicians (IAHP) is an Association
of Primary care physicians specializing in Fastin Supervision as an integral
part of Hygienic Care.
Founded in 1978 by ten Charter Members and has grown steadily since that date.
The IAHP is governed by a Board of Governors who approve membership, adopt and update standards and pass upon applicants for
Certification.
The Association is incorporated as a not for profit corporation and its membership
is limited to Physicians in the fields of Medicine, Osteopathy, Chiropractic and
Naturopathy, who have graduated from bona fide (accredited) professional institutions
and who are practicing legally in their state or country. They also must be committed
in their lifestyle and practice to the basic principles of Natural Hygiene substantiated
in the biological sciences and subscribe to the Principles of Ethics and Standards
of Practice of the Association.
In the years since its founding, the Board of Governors have developed Standards
of Practice and Principles of Ethics for Hygienic Care. They also have adopted
and periodically revised Standards of Practice of Fasting Supervision and Certification
Standards for members seeking to achieve this status.
To view the Association's Principles of Ethics, Standards of Practice, Standards
of Practice of Fasting Supervision or Certification Standards, click on the links
provided on the Home Page.
An education at any bona fide and accredited Medical,
Osteopathic, Chiropractic or Naturopathic School is acceptable.
Graduate Students at any of the above described institutions are eligible for
membership at an annual rate of $10.00 during their years of attendance.
Persons
who have only earned correspondence course degrees are not eligible for membership.
Thus, graduates of the Life Science Institute, also referred to as the Fit for
Life course, are ineligible as are graduates of the Clayton School of Natural
Healing and its affiliate, The American Holistic College of Nutrition.
In order to become a Certified member of the Association, a member in good standing
must successfully complete a period of six months Internship/Residence, or its
equivalent, at a fasting institution approved by the Association for training
purposes. To view the Association's Certification Standards, click on the link
provided on the Home Page. Currently, Certification programs are only available
under the direction of Alan Goldhamer, D.C. at the TrueNorth Health Center in Santa Rosa, California. Members interested in serving and Internship should

The Association publishes a Professional Referral List of member physicians who
have been members of the Association for at least three years and are approved
for Full Member Status by the Board of Governors or who are Certified for Fasting
Supervision. To view the latest IAHP Professional Referral List, click on the
